Well Nessa has been hounding me to update so I guess I will do that now. Its been FOREVER since I last updated. I really should just get rid of this thing but I know certain people would be very angry with me. Anyways...Lets see where should I start, I have a new job that I have been at for a little over a month now. I work at Canton Cheverolet and I am basically the receptionist there. I really like it!! I am also doing Timothy Ministries again this year, so did not wont to. I am so excited that this is my senior year. I am going to get my senior pictures made next week hopefully. YEAH !!! Lets see what else is new...I most deff. have my liscence now. I love being able to drive! Over the summer we got to go to camp , it was called Fuge. They have two different sections of fuge that you can go to and normally they are on different weeks but we went to the one where they joined M-Fuge with CenterFuge. M-Fuge is mission oriented and all of the highschoolers in our chruch did that one.The middle schoolers went to CenterFuge. The first day that you get there you are made to fill out this form saying what your top three choices for "mission work" are. You had five groups to choose from I think. There was C.P.Y which was construction, paint, and yard work. And then there was Childrens Ministry, Social Ministry, which was basically going out and doing anything from sorting clothes at the salvation army, to helping serve food, to going to a nursing home and talking to the peolple there. Lets see i cant remember what other tracks there were. Oh there was also Games and Rec. This one basically consisted of hanging out with kids at the park and playing games with them all day. There was one more I just cant remember what it was. Well I got the opportunity to be put on childrens ministry. Lets just say that that was most deffinetly one of the best experiences of my life. We were assigned to an apartment complex and thats where we would go everyday. We would go there every day and just hangout with the kids, we tried to do a Bible story but that didn't work so we just played games with them all day long. Camp had been going on here for 4 weeks prior to this camp so we were not the first group to come. We were the 5th week and there were one or two more weeks of camp after us. You know how people are always saying that they got more of a blessing than the people they went to bless? Well that was the case for me. The part of Greenville S.C that we were in was dominatly black so the apartment complex that we were at was all black people. I have to say that those kids were the sweetest kids ever. We had SOOO much fun with them and by the end of the week nobody wanted to go home. The kids were crying, we were crying, it was a very sad time. We learned alot that week, not just from the kids but from all the sermons and bible studys at the camp. Before we left for camp we were all complaining because we didn't want to go to that camp so we were kinda upset at our youth pastor for signing us up to go there. On tuesday morning the day after we got there and were assigned to our groups for the week my friend Heidi and I weren't very happy with our group so we were complaining about that too. So basically we were upset that we were even there and to make it worse we thought the people that were in the group with us were not going to any fun whatsoever. Yeah we were proved wrong majorly!! It was an amazing group and camp and we had a blast!! Friday night is Mega Rally and its where all the groups compete against each other in different things. Well our group (the one Heidi and I were in) won first place for team spirit. Yeah so it was an interesting week and we learned ALOT! and were proved wrong alot.
